  1. I would love to see an updated version of this video to see how your load-out has evolved.

  2. Thanks for making this video, and for your others. Looking forward to more, as you become more and more experienced and knowledgeable. Perhaps, someday, you'll write a new version of Colin Fletcher's The Complete Walker, which was the backpacking bible for my generation. (Why don't all the people who enjoy hiking start lobbying for a Coast-to-Coast trail to do East-West what the PCT and AT do North-South?)

  3. To much food ???, I think not enough toilet paper, TP is a wonderful thing on a trail, chaffing could make a long walk uncomfortable !!
    Love the vid.

  4. It's much better to have a little too much than not enough. It looks like you've planned your trip very well.
Besides, if you have a little too much, you can always bring it back and save it for future use.

  5. I have found that using your clothes as a pillow sucks, that's just me I prefer an actul small pillow but that's only cause I'm willing to take the weight.

  6. Love your vids, i'm learning a lot.
I find that you're really likeable, you're simple and don't pretend to know it all, i immediatly liked you 🙂
    Thanks for sharing your experiences

  7. When I go backpacking, my dad and I bring along 5 or 6 Mountain House dried meals that we just warm up with hot water. Saves space and weight. Weight is the key factor. Which y'all already know that since you were in the military. Hope that this is useful.

  8. My wife and I are about to go out on our first thru hike, 5 days. I have done about 5 years of researching and have done trails in the past, but together is so different. 😀 Thanks for the vid guys. 😀
