  1. Excellent, you make the point for all to consider. For sure. it is the constant refining of our choices that gives us the answer or solution to the situation. There are no concrete answers to the question.

  2. Is the way to become a master to just run out of teachers that can help you evolve any further? Are there only slight differences between an incompetent pupil and the highest degrees of mastership?

  3. I have thought about this again recently after hearing about the "Naked and Afraid" show (each individual was allowed one item, so two per pair). Cordage has many uses, and is time/energy consuming to make yourself, but can you garauntee making fire with friction?

  4. Nothing is guaranteed. And it would be hard to make fire with friction in the NW. However, fire isn't at the top of the priority list unless you have no way to make shelter. I created the 5 laws of 3.

    3 hours without shelter
    3 days without water
    3 weeks without food.

Fire isn't a NEEDED thing, but it does help survival situations. But paracord has multiple uses which include making shelter.

  5. I like your practical approach. And your making note of the fact that carrying a big knife can be a problem with the LEOs. I might add that a poncho is, in my view, extremely important. It can make a huge difference, so I think we should all endeavor to have one if at all possible. Excellent video!!!!!

  6. My sog seal pup , ferro rod , and stainless thermos. In the winter it would be my ax , ferro rod , snare wire.
I do this often. Just pick a few items and see what happens. Great vid thanks.

  7. i WEARS A TIN POT ON ME HEAD TO PROTECT FROM METEORITES AND SUCH. i CAN BOIL MUD FOR ME DINNER, BASH bIGFOOT OVER THE HEAD AND SKIN HIM FOOR ME COAT, THN HAVE SE WITH THE RQAPIDLY COOLING BODY, I CAN

  8. Funny how so few a number of people consider geography and geology when telling everyone else what is the "best" list of items to have in a pinch. An Inuit, a Kalahari Bushman, a Yamomamo from the Amazon, and a Wonggaranda from Gorri, would all laugh at this……… YOU MUST DETERMINE WHERE IN THE WORLD YOU ARE, AND WHAT TIME OF YEAR IT IS…….before any assumptions can be made; and your own skill level will determine ANY AND ALL ADJUSTMENTS to the former. Your three item survival kit would be benign in central Panama…….and if you're in Canada, a BIG mistake….. Addio

  9. I learned that three was for completion and I have to think that with three items I could survive for a little while at least.
